Plant a Tree in Someone's Honor

Plant a Tree in Memory

A tree planted in someone's memory is a living tribute that benefits present and future generations, and is perhaps the most fitting memorial gift of all. Your memorial trees planted in National Forests will be honorable monuments and active participants in nature's plan for decades to come.

Through this website, people may make contributions to national and community reforestation efforts, and send or receive a personalized commemorative card - in memory or honor of a friend or loved one, in celebration of a life event, or simply to give the green gift of trees.

If the tree planting is a gift, we will stamp and mail the card directly to the recipient for you. Now you can send a greeting card that makes the world greener. Every card we print is sustainably sourced, FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified & acid-free, and ships carbon neutral thanks to our participation in Planet.

With each order, tree planting organizations under the supervision of the Forest Service commit to planting new trees on designated National Forests and State Parks in dire need of restoration (see list of recent projects and sites below).

Every 1,000 tree seedlings that we plant will restore four acres of forest and create critical wildlife habitat. The Green Benefits of Planting Memorial Trees

Plant a Tree in Honor

Plant a tree in someone's name - a unique and green gift to celebrate events such as birthdays, holidays, graduations, weddings, new births, anniversaries, or any special occasion. Now you can pay tribute to your friends and loved ones while replanting our nation's forests.

A Tree Dedication Gift starts at just $9.99 for one tree, and either the gift giver or recipient will receive a personalized card to commemorate the tree planting. Multiple trees can be dedicated. You can give a gift of trees, memorialize a loved one, celebrate a milestone, plant a tree in remembrance of a pet, or honor someone with a tree simply because they cherish nature.

Your orders will help conservation organizations like the National Forest Foundation restore treasured National Forests from the Pacific Northwest to New England - over 100 million acres of majestic trees, blue streams, open valleys, and beautiful mountain landscapes.

Planting trees on someone’s behalf is a great way to honor someone – and since trees provide so many natural benefits, it is a gift that keeps on giving.

Trees clean our air, absorbing harmful carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. They help to clean water for the millions of Americans who depend on a forest every time they turn on their faucets. Healthy forests sustain critical habitat needed for wildlife, and enhance our own outdoor pursuits.
